NOVITEC ROSSO mods the Ferrari 458 Italia...and it isn't Red

Hot on the heels of their Race 606 tuning package for the Ferrari California, Novitec Rosso has now come up with their first complete package for the Ferrari 458 Italia. It's White with a carbon gray roof and black wheels. Not something we're quite used to seeing as we've come to expect 458 Italias to come in either red or yellow.

Unlike the extra horses unleashed by means of a supercharger in the Race 606 California, Novitec Rosso's package to increase the power in the 458 is limited to lightweight parts such as the carbon airbox, a 21kg lighter exhaust system (complete with catalytic convertors, mufflers and by-pass valve for noise reduction) and an ECU tweak. The power output increases from 561bhp to a nice round 600bhp while torque goes up to 569Nm from 540Nm.

The bodykit comprises of the usual front splitter, additional winglets that add to the movable flaps in the nose, rear diffuser, side skirts, boot lid and that carbon looking roof. Some of these parts have purportedly gone through aerodynamic testing as Novitec Rosso is telling us that this isn't for looks alone as from the wind tunnel testing photo shots.

The alloy wheels are 21inch in diameter up front and 22inch at the rear with 225/30/21 and 335/25/22 respectively. Ride height is reduced by 35mm but is able to rise up by 40mm to clear speed bumps and slopes by means of a hydraulic lift kit.

Prices are on application as Novitec Rosso can customize each 458 Italia to one's whims and fancies. A white 458,quite nice indeed, BUT I am reaching a point where I feel that every other car is white these days and I need to see more with bright colors.
