After 10 years of jazz scene, Brasserie Julien will be renewing it's no cover charge or no minimum policy for the week end jazz on the Upper East Side. We are pleased to inform our cadillac patrons, regulars and all of jazz and blues fans of New York that we will stay a free jazz club on week end.
Starting May 2011 Brasserie Julien will be offering a Harlem Gospel Session with one of the best gospel voices in the country Renne Maning and invite all of Harlem Gospel Spirit to take over Brasserie Julien and compliment our jazz trend we have been participating in New York City.
About Rennee Her debut in the jazz world as the singer with the Mel Lewis Orchestra (from 1983-1989) was the longest tenure of any vocalist associated with that organization . By chance, Mr. Lewis heard Renée performing at Mikell's . He invited her to sit in with his band at the Village Vanguard and after a standing ovation hired her as his vocalist on the spot.
