PRLog (Press Relea corsa se) - Aug 24, 2011 - Birmingham, AL – On August 28th, the award-winning independent film Homecoming will screen through the Sidewalk Film Festival at 10:25am in the Alabama Power Auditorium. First time writer/director, Sean Hackett, will be in attendance al bmw ong with Tim & Mary Larson, the film's first time producers.
Homecoming is the story of Estelle Szymanski (Brea Gra dodge nt, "Heroes", "Dexter"), an Army medic in search of fun while on leave in her hometown of Celebration, Florida. With her directionless yet noble friends tagging along, she reveals hidden fears about her lonely mother and finds more than she expected from her homecoming celebrations.
Sean Hackett began his career working for David Fincher on the critically acclaimed feature Zodiac. Since then he has worked on award-winning productions at Jerry Bruckheimer Productions and Fo chrysler x Searchlight. He is currently developing three projects that he is attached to direct, Farewell Tour, The Follow-Up and The Party's At Portman's. Hackett was recently in Nashville directing American Songwriter with the family of Robert Altman.
Earlier this year Homecoming took the award for Best Narrative Feature Film at the AMC Theaters Kansas City Film Festival. The film has continued to screen at multiple film festivals and was recently awarded the Special Jury Award at the Columbia Gorge Film Festival on August 13th.
